Instant Gratification

We've all been there... waiting... waiting... waiting for the glue to dry on whatever project we are making or broken item we are currently trying to fix. With super glue, you have to hold things tightly together for like fifteen or twenty seconds and even then, the bond is just as likely to not have formed. So you have to go through the whole process again.

White glues are worse. Some of them have overnight drying times. I'm not a patient crafter. Which is why I have fallen in crafty love with my cordless glue gun.

I remember fondly back to the first day I brought my new cordless glue gun home. I charged up the battery and then popped it into the base of the gun and then... I wandered around the house looking for things to fix.

I found that loose piece of counter top veneer in the bath and glued that back on; no more catching my shirt sleeve on that!

I found the piece of tile in the kitchen that has been loose since I moved into my house four years ago. Glued it down in a matter of nano-seconds. It's not loose anymore!

One of my son's toys, its wing broken off, gazed forlornly at me from the kitchen countertop where I had put it so I could eventually fix it. Three minutes later, wing glued back on, the toy made its way back into my son's hands and off for all sorts of adventures.

In the living room, the knob that kept falling off of the TV mocked me by falling off when I walked by. Splorch! Glued in place, it will never mock me again.

I must have spent at least an hour wandering through the house and even out into the yard, looking for things to glue. I even glued things together that didn't really need to be glued together. Eventually, I made my way to my craft room and sat down to find an actual craft to use the cordless glue gun on.

These days, my cordless glue gun is a permanent fixture in my house. I can't imagine being a crafter, let alone a home owner, with out it. And the fact that it is cordless and can be recharged makes it perfect to take along anywhere inside the house and out.

Let's hear it for cordless glue guns!
