Decorative Boxes

Materials:
Colored or glitter glue sticks
Clear sticks for purging
Mini wooden box of your choice (found at almost any craft store)
Paints: acrylic or watercolor
Decorations: wood cutouts, silk flowers, rhinestones, buttons, charms, beads or feathers

1.) Start by painting your box with a base color or a design of your choosing. Acrylic paints will go on thick and stay put, whereas a watercolor will bleed into the wood and spread.

2.) Once the paint has dried you can begin arranging your decorations on the box how you want them to go on. Do the inside and sides of the box first before decorating the top.

3.) You can use glitter or colored glue to add trim to the box inside and out!

These little boxes make for an excellent party project. Or even prizes in a fun treasure hunt activity!
