Materials:
Glue gun/ clear glue sticks
1 glitter glue stick
1 plastic bucket or pail
1 sheet black colored craft foam
Assorted color bits/pieces craft foam (for eyes)
Scissors, X-Acto knife, pencil
2 google eyes
*Or some craft stores sell kits at this time of year with all the craft foam pieces
Ribbon
1.) Heat up glue gun and put in clear glue.
2.) If you have purchased a kit, the foam pieces will be pre-cut and backed with double sided tape. Peel off sticker and place on pail in desired face configuration.
3.) If you're doing this without a kit, get out scissors, x-acto knife and a pencil. Either draw out a pattern on a blank sheet of paper, cut out and trace onto craft foam or free hand draw on the craft foam your desired facial pieces.
You will need:
Jagged hair/hairline (black)
Squiggly mouth (black)
Stitches for the face (black)
Circles for eyes- use 2 colors, cut 2 of each. For the look shown, make all 4 circles different sizes.
4.) Cut your pieces out.
5.) Lightly apply glue to the center of each piece and press onto pail in desired face formation.
6.) Glue google eyes onto eye sockets.
7.) Take decorative ribbon and adorn handle of pail if desired with glue gun.
8.) Insert glitter glue stick and write child's (or yours!) name on the back of the pail and anywhere else you want. I wrote in the bottom of my pail "Refill Frank".
Happy Halloween!
