Materials:
Glue gun/ clear glue sticks
8.5x11 sheet of vellum (any color, pattern)
Ribbon
Candy conversation hearts (or any other valentine candy)
Thin cardboard or paper for pattern
1.) If you don't already have a heart pattern about 4 inches x 4 inches, create one out of scrap cardboard or paper. In my case, I took a lace doily and traced the shape.
2.) Cut your pattern out and apply to vellum sheet, trace pattern with pencil, twice.
3.) Cut two hearts out of vellum.
4.) Line the hearts up against each other as best you can and grab your glue gun.
5.) Apply a thin line of glue as close the edges as you can get, between the two hearts, sandwiching them together. You may have to work around one or two inches at a time, letting the glue dry in between so that the hearts don't slip apart and make a glue-y mess.
6.) Be sure to leave an opening at the top, about 1-2 inches wide.
7.) Take your ribbon, fold in half and glue one half of the ribbon along the edges of your vellum heart. Glue the other half of the ribbon the other side, so that the ribbon is covering the edges of the vellum.
8.) Cut an 8 inch long piece of ribbon, fold the very edges over and glue edges together, once on each end.
9.) Glue the folded edge to the outside of the vellum heart, one on each side, so that your heart has a little handle.
10.) Fill your heart with candy conversation hearts.
