Clamp Lip Treat Jars

Clamp Lip Treat Jars

Materials:
Glue gun and clear glue sticks
Clean, empty clamp lid jar (example is 3 1/4 inches tall, 2 inches wide)
Piece of fabric or lace, about 6 inches in length, 3 inches wide
Small colorful paper flowers in various colors

1. Heat up glue gun and put in glue.

2. Remove the glass lid from the clamp on the jar, you may need a pair of pliers to loosen it up.

3. Begin gluing the fabric to the top edge of the jar lid, wrapping the fabric all the way around. Overlap the edges of the fabric, glue down and trim away any excess. Remember that the lid has to fit back into the clamp and if there's too much fabric, it won't go back in.

4. Fold back the fabric so that the top of the lid is exposed. Bit by bit, apply glue to the edges of the lid from the top so that you can press the fabric down (just a little, 1/4 of an inch at most) in towards the center of the jar lid. This will create a flower like opening.

5. Take the loose ends of the fabric and glue down to the outside edge of the jar lid, opposite of where you were just gluing.

6. Return the jar lid back the clamp. You'll most likely need pliers and a little patience depending on how loose it is. Be sure to flatten down the fabric where needed to avoid getting it caught in the metal ring that goes around the jar lid.

7. Pull out and straighten fabric as needed to clean up the look around the lid.

8. Apply glue in a thin spread (back and forth, use the nozzle of the glue gun to help spread the glue out) on top of the lid.

9. Quickly before the glue dries, lightly press in the paper flowers.

10. Apply glue to holes where no flower stuck from the first pass and add more flowers. Continue this until you are satisfied with the amount of flowers.

11. Take a few flowers and lightly glue them either singly in pairs or more on the sides of the jar. Try to have a little decor on each of the 4 sides.

12. Fill with treats!
