True there are some great tutorials out there on some really neat and beautiful Halloween cards, but what if you're down to say, 3 days before Halloween and just need to put something together quick? If you have any scrapbook or card stock papers around, Halloween type stickers and a glue gun, consider yourself set!
Materials:
Glue gun/ clear glue sticks
Card stock in two contrasting colors, preferably one have a pattern, sparkle or print.
Pencil
Halloween stickers (mine are foam stickers from the dollar bin at JoAnn's)
1- metallic green pipe cleaner
Orange pen (or black)
Scissors
1. Heat up glue gun and put in glue.
2. Cut out the card shape (square or rectangle) from the lighter color of the card stock papers.
3. Place the cut card in the corner of the dark colored card stock and mark off the opposite corners. Using a ruler, draw a line connecting those two points. This should give you piece almost half the size of the card.
4. Cut that triangle piece out.
5. Repeat with another corner of the dark cardstock, marking the corners off, draw the line, but then move the ruler up 1/2 inch and draw a second line. Cut down the second line.
6. This should give you another smaller triangle piece so that when both pieces are laid on the card there is a 1/2 inch gap between them.
7. Glue down the triangle pieces to the card.
8. Apply the Halloween stickers wherever you would like on the card.
9. Write your Halloween greeting on the card.
10. If you ended up using pumpkins like mine, cut 3 very small bits off the end of the metallic green pipe cleaner for the stems. Apply a small dab of glue to each piece and affix to the pumpkins.
11. Take the green metallic pipe cleaner and apply glue to one end, press down onto the card at the top edge of the triangles. Run a line of glue down the edge of the triangle and gently press the pipe cleaner into the glue, trim off the excess and use to repeat on the other triangle edge.
This card took less than 10minutes to make, so in a pinch, it works great!
