Gocco Print Making

Gocco Print Making

If you're like me you see the word "gocco" and think "go-what?" Which is what happened this morning when I saw Glue Gun Annies's post on her first gocco print. Turns out, gocco is pretty cool! It's a process and requires a lot of specialized equipment to do, but as usual, Wikipedia explains what gocco is best.

Called "purinto gocco" in Japanese it means "make believe play." Which was the intention of its inventor, Noburo Hayema, for while it's a crafty print machine, it was meant to be played with. It uses flashbulbs, a plastic screen and lots of ink--which doesn't just make one or two prints. More like 50.

Check out Annie's tutorial, it's an interesting machine!
