Studded Easter Egg Ornament

It's a studded Easter egg! Ok, not really, they're tiny acrylic gems on a blank glass Easter egg ornament, but with tons of glitter and crazy colors. Check out how to make your own!

Materials:
clear glass egg shaped ornament
colored acrylic dots
2 contrasting colors of glitter
clear sealant (optional- but makes life a lot easier)
Aleene's tacky glue
hot glue/clear glue sticks

  1. Brush the entire egg ornament with the tacky glue and coat with the glitter color of your choice. Tap to remove excess glitter and hang up to dry.
  2. When the glue has dried, brush on the clear sealant over the glitter and hang to dry.

  4. Plug in your glue gun and pour out the acrylic dots. Apply hot glue to the egg ornament in 1 inch lines, pressing in the dots as you go. Wait till each line of glue hardens before applying the next line.

  6. Once all the dots are in place, add a couple of blobs of Aleene's tacky glue to the empty spaces in between the lines of dots.
  7. Carefully shake on the contrasting color of glitter to cover the blobs. Hang dry.

  8. When the blobs have hardened, brush with sealant and let dry.

That's it! The wackier you can get with colors of glitter and patterns of dots being glued onto the ornament, the better!
