Snowman Head Ornament

Our 5 Unexpected Snowman Crafts post inspired me to create a snowman craft of my own, though not of the food oriented kind. This little guy is not only easy to make but making several to spread throughout your tree can be a fun and cute addition.

Materials
clear glass ornaments of 67mm size
felt black top hat
faux snow filling (we used "Buffalo Snow" in ultra fine)
iridescent flakes/sparkles (optional)
tiny black pom poms
orange paint
glue gun with clear glue sticks

  1. Heat up glue gun
  2. Fill the glass ornament with some of the iridescent sparkles and then faux snow, alternating and shaking up to mix until full. Fill it up as much as you can.

  4. Take a push pin or something pointy and poke two tiny holes in the top of the top hat in the center, about 3-4cm apart.

  6. Pinch wires in ornament cap together and remove cap.

  7. Thread the ornament wires through the holes in the top hat and push through.

  8. Pinch wires together again and stick one back into the hole on the top of the ornament cap and repeat with the other side.

  10. Pinch wires together and place back into the ornament and set cap down, you won't be able to see under the hat anymore once this is done.

  12. Take the glue gun and attach 2 black pom poms on for eyes and repeat with 5 more tiny pom poms for the mouth.

  14. Once the the glue has hardened, dab a bit of orange paint on and drag a push pin up and over to the left to create the carrot nose.

  16. When the paint has dried, thread an ornament wire through the loop on top of the felt hat.

That's it! Happy Holidays!
