Woodcrafter
Woodcrafter.com is a great site if you're going to be ordering several things at once. Which in their case isn't much of an issue as they have a very large and extensive inventory that reaches into all corners of the crafting universe. The drawback to that many products however, is it tends to make their site a little on the slower side for page loading times. In my case I ordered Deco Art's Liquid Rainbow paints from them, which per unit had a lower cost than the stores at an average of .40-.50 cents. The savings on that is huge,… Read More

Uncle Sam Pins
Usually when I see a mention of a Fourth of July pin, it's the typical safety pin and seed bead creation of the flag pinned to jean jackets since the 1980's. (Probably even earlier than that!) But today, I bring you the Seaside Nannie's Uncle Sam pins! These cute little pins look just like Uncle Sam, are a step away from the usual flag pin, yet show off your spirit of the Fourth! All you need is some craft foam, google eyes, cotton balls and a glue gun. Tags: crafts, glue+gun+crafts, fourth+of+july, summer+crafts, easy+crafts, craft+foam… Read More
Make a Marionette
This craft is on the more complicated side of things, lots of steps and lots of materials needed, but when completed, makes for one very neat marionette. Even if you're not interested in making your own, Famgr has posted all 32 steps (and sub steps!) that made it possible. At the very least this craft is a fantastic example of complex do it yourself instructions. Tags: crafts, glue gun marionette, puppets… Read More
Inspiration Board Tutorial
Not Nigella gives us this great, step by step tutorial for creating your own inspiration board at home. Personally I would use it as more as an organizer, so if you need assistance in being inspired to get organized, this could be just the craft for you! More than anything else, I love her tagline "because not everyone can be a domestic goddess." Tags:crafts, glue+gun+crafts, fabric+crafts, fabric+board, easy+crafts… Read More
Seashell Keepsake Boxes
Materials: Glue gun/ clear glue sticks Plain wooden box Lots of seashells Embellishments of your choice: glitter, sequins, flowers, feathers I went for the minimalist look with my seashell box, deciding that less is more! 1.) Heat up glue gun and put in glue. 2.) Sort out all your seashells by type. Once you get gluing this will greatly speed up the process. 3.) Determine how you want your project to look and lay the shells out in the pattern first, before gluing on. I recommend working on the lid first and then the sides of the box. 4.) Next,… Read More
